Skills Training Assistance
Transitions negotiates funding for skills development training. This program provides funding for individuals to acquire the skills necessary to obtain employment.
Transitions is able to provide funding for a broad range of training. This could include, but is not limited to, long term training for such programs as Licensed Practical Nurse or Aircraft Mechanic and short term training such as First Aid.

Funding is available for:
- Long Term Training
(up to 3 school years)
- Short Term Training
(ie: First Aid, WHMIS)
- Tuition
- Books & Supplies
- Living Allowance
To be eligible:
- You have been referred by a Canada - BC Labour Market development Agreement funded counselor with a completed Return to Work Action Plan
- You are currently on EI or had an EI claim in the last 3 years or have had an established Maternity/Parental leave claim in the last 5 years
- You are not currently enrolled in school or training
- You have been referred by a Canada - BC Labour Market Development Agreement funded Counselor and have a Return-to-Work Action Plan
- You are legally entitled to work in Canada and reside in the Prince George labour market area
- Eligibility is established based on individual need and circumstances
